Remember the days of school and how exciting it was to go on a field trip? How about when you were going far enough away to not have to ride in one of those hot, old school buses?
As if the fact of leaving school wasn’t enough, it was always a major plus when a charter bus was driving us with televisions playing our favorite movies, air conditioning to help us beat the heat, and those comfortable, cloth seats for us to get cozy in for the long drive.
I remember one trip in particular. When I was ten years old, the entire fourth grade took a trip to see the beautiful and historic St. Augustine, Florida. There were so many fantastic things about the city. We toured the forts, shopped around in the antique stores, and ate some delicious, fried food. But you know what I remember the most? The time I spent with my group of five best friends on the charter bus ride over and back. We watched the movie “The Sandlot” and discussed how each of us were like the different characters of the movie, I was Smalls. We all talked, laughed, and planned our trip to the neighborhood baseball field the following day. I remember as if it were yesterday, yet it was so long ago.
It’s like that saying, “it’s not the destination that counts, it’s the journey you take to get there.” So for your next trip, call 5 Star Coach at 407-344-4325 to make some memories on your journey!
